Zodiac Sign

Gemini

The third sign of the Zodiac is Gemini- the Twins- communicative, curious, inventive and multi-faceted. The heavenly twins shown in astrological illustrations are usually Castor and Pollux, sons of Leda. Sometimes they are depicted as two women, sometimes as a boy and a girl. But no matter how they are presented, Gemini is puzzlement. Ruled by Mercury, the Messenger of Gods, on the surface this is the most changeable of signs. Arians say,”I am”, Taurus, “I have”, but here the key phrase is “I Think”.

Those born in the latter part of May or the first three weeks of June always seem to be thinking, analysing, rationalizing or – talking. But one must always remember that this is the time of the ‘Flower of Flowers’- the Rose. In the clear light of June, there is no place in all the world more perfect, no home of peace more sweet than that to be found in an old English garden.

However, ‘that spring should vanish with the Rose’, laments a Persian poet, and for all their gaiety and apparent preoccupation with the new and untried, Geminians frequently seem to want to linger a while longer in their youth. Author, Poet and Painter has each, in his or her own way, tried to capture the glories of June, when nature dons her brightest robe when:

Fair stars that crown a happy day.

Go in and out as if at play./TE
