State of Emergency in Yemen
A ‘State of Emergency’ has been declared in Yemen following protests on the street and demands that King Ali Abdullah Sade should step down. The president has presided over his people for thirty two years and the people want change.
Last week snipers on roof tops opened fire on Yemeni citizens attending Friday prayers, leaving 41 dead and two hundred seriously wounded. Most had been shot in the head or in the chest. Protests have erupted in other Yemeni cities too, and the protests look to set to continue.
