A two- day Capability Building Training for Rural Based Organization Officers was held on March 24 and 25, 2011 at the third floor of the Kalibo Municipal Building. This activity aims to equip the elected officers of the newly organized 4- H Club, Rural Improvement Club and P4MP from ten (10) barangays of Kalibo with skills and knowledge in managing their organizations. Topics include Self- Awareness and Effective Communication with Ms. Mary Ann Ramos as resource speaker, Leadership and Leadership skills with Ms. Edna Villanueva, Team Building and Conflict Management in an Organization with Mr. Francis R. Arnaiz as the resource speaker.
The Opening Program was graced by Hon. Madeline A. Regalado, Municipal Vice Mayor of Kalibo who delivered the welcome remarks to 100 participants. Mr. Mesitlie A Teruel, focal person of the RBO, DA-ATI-RTC 6, gave the training overview. The emphasizes the role of farm family in community development and in nation building. Ms. Malou Lachica, private secretary to the mayor delivered a message for and on behalf of Mayor S. Lachica. Mr. Primo I. Ibesate, Jr. the MAO of Kalibo gave additional information of the division’s programs when he delivered his remarks. Selected members of the Rural Improvement Club of Estancia (RICE) entertained the group with a dance number.
This two- day training was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Local Government Unit of Kalibo headed by Mayor William S. Lachica and the DA-ATI-RTC 6, headed by Dr. Allan V. Alimodian./TE
