Canned Heat
The Very Best of Canned Heat

Canned Heat is a blues based sixties Rock Band which over the years has established an extensive following, and which has gained worldwide acclaim for numbers such as ‘On the Road Again’, ‘Going Up the Country’, and ‘Let’s Work Together’, all of which are included on this album.

This versatile band is a major exponent of ‘The Boogie’; a blues based rhythm which defines the boundary between blues and Rock and Roll. One of the main exponents of the boogie is john Lee Hooker, with whom Canned Heat also played on the album ‘Hooker and Heat’. Canned Heat also played with blues artist John Mayall on his ‘Blues from Laurel Canyon’ album.

‘The Very Best of Canned Heat’ features some of their best known numbers, with others tracks including ‘Whiskey Headed Woman’, ‘Bullfrog blues’, ‘Rolling and Tumbling’, and ‘Amphetamine Annie’. This lively and rhythmic album is a must for any serious collector./TE
