The province of Aklan celebrated its 55th Anniversary as a province on April 25, 2011. Several activities were lined up from April 25-30, 2011 to commemorate the event.
This year’s celebration also highlights an annual event organized by the Department of Trade & Industry, the Piña and Fiber Festival which is now on its 12th year. The Festival is a trade fair which showcases locally produced cloth and fibers and manufactured food products.
