BORACAY ISLAND, Malay — The Department of Health (DOH) will inspect several renovated and new facilities of a hospital in Aklan to ensure that they are in good working condition.
Dr. Ariel Valencia, regional director of the DOH-Center for Health Development 6 (CHD6), said that among the facilities lined up for inspection are the renovated dialysis and CT scan machine at the Dr. Rafael S. Tumbukon Memorial Hospital in Kalibo, Aklan.
“We are still waiting for documents that need to be processed. Once it is finished, a DOH team from Metro Manila will conduct the inspection of such facilities,” Valencia said.
The DOH will also conduct inspection once the facility arrived at the Fairways and Bluewater Resort in Boracay relative to its proposed establishment of the first and only trauma center in this resort island.
The Fairways recently inked agreement with the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Metro Manila for the establishment of the trauma center near the Cagban Port. It will also be complemented with a heliport to be built nearby. (PNA)/TE
