Secure Your Homes During Holidays, PNP Tells Aklanons

KALIBO — Aklanons must secure their homes during this holiday season to avoid being victimized by thieves, according to Aklan Police Provincial Office Director Sr. Supt. Epifanio Bragais, Jr.

Director Bragais issued this call in a news report over a local radio station here, saying the public must also do its own share to ascertain everybody’s safety especially during the holiday season.

Bragais said people should be vigilant and never leave their homes unattended, to keep from being robbed of valuables.

Bragais said community support is important to win the fight against criminality, and on their part, they are working day and night to curb criminality.

The PNP also assured the public of maximum police visibility and deployment of police personnel and patrols during the Simbang Gabi dawn masses.

Churchgoers, according to the PNP, however, should be wary too of pickpocketers and snatchers while attending the dawn masses. (PIA/Venus G. Villanueva)/TE
