A close contest between the two young contenders, Hon. Vincent Navarosa of Libacao and Hon. Jona Torres of Banga to lead the PCL, Aklan Chapter culminated on15th of September. Jona Morales-Torres the only woman aspirant for the position of PCL President started as SK President, then served as Sangguniang Bayan member for two terms.

Of the total 170 members of Aklan who registered in two days PCL election. One hundred sixty six casted their votes. Jona Torres bagged 74 votes and Vincent Navarosa got 72 votes. The renaining twenty votes were for Soviet de la Cruz and BasilTabenilla. Four SB members abstained./WVE
