Fifty women attended a seminar/training on leadership, entrepreneurship, responsible parenthood and personality development that was held at the 3rd floor of the municipal building of Kalibo on September 11, 2010. The training was organized by the Samahan ng Mga Kababaehan ng Buswang, headed by the Over-all Chairwoman of SAKANEBU, Mrs. Editha S. Rubio.
Guests speakers were Mrs. Leda C. Cenon, from the office of the Aklan Provincial Population and Gender Office on the issue of Responsible Parenting. Followed by Mrs. Stella R. Caldera of the Department of Trade and Industry on Business Opportunities.
The afternoon session was opened by the Area Governor of the Toastmasters International, Ms. Melrose “Megs” Lunn on the issue of leadership, followed by the talk of Mr. Danny H. Silva on Personality Development.
The afternoon culminated by the awarding of certificates to attendees by SB member, Dr. Nilda Tambong, Committee Chairman for Women and Youth for Aklan./WVE
