Mayor William S. Lachica delivered an impressive report on his performance during his first one hundred days in the office. Held at the third floor of the municipal hall of Kalibo on October 11 2010, he launched his accomplishment report with ease, with confidence, and with sincerity.
Mayor William S. Lachica delivered an impressive report on his performance during his first one hundred days in the office. Held at the third floor of the municipal hall of Kalibo on October 11 2010, he launched his accomplishment report with ease, with confidence, and with sincerity.
His account started with:
a. The changes in the Public market: the clean-up drive and the construction on the second floor of the wet market building;
b. The renovation of the drainage system where de-clogging of the major drainage channels was initiated by his administration in a short span of time.
c. The beautification of Pastrana and Magsaysay Parks which was launched by the Office of the General Services and the Municipal Economic Enterprise Development Office.
d. The refurbishment of the public convenience in the town center. It was a vigorous campaign, and people who passed by these areas commented not only upon the tidiness and cleanliness of the park, but also upon the good lighting.
He also dealt with the issues of:
e. The renovation of the slaughterhouse building, together with the improvement, the safety, and the hygiene of this establishment.
f. The garbage problem, this being one of the priority issues where LGU’s and NGO’s such as Kool Earth and Aklan Medical Society were also on hand to assist.
g. The concreting of the roads.
h. The livelihood program, and many other projects.
