BORACAY ISLAND, Aklan - The Court of Appeals (CA) has ordered the local government of Malay, Aklan to comment on the appeal of businessman Crisostomo Aquino to have a temporary restraining order (TRO) and/or Writ of Preliminary Injunction (WTP) to the West Cove Resort.
It could be recalled that Malay Mayor John Yap has ordered the closure of West Cove owned by Aquino for allegedly operating without local permit. The West Cove management has filed the appeal at the CA.
In a three-page resolution dated August 11 signed by Associate Justice Jane Aurora Lantion of the CA First Division, it ordered the local government of Malay, Aklan to answer within 10 days, after which Aquino was asked to comment in five days to the paper to be submitted by the local government of Malay.
The management of the West Cove Resort is confident that the CA will approve the TRO and/or the WTP they have requested.(PNA)/TE
