BEST TEEN TIPS
By: Jenevi F. Dollete

In modern era today, youths being scolded by parents run away from home for they think that they are old enough to handle themselves and claim their freedom.

But as parents who have the obligation to their children, insist that they are in charge while their children are under roof being in conflict. Which of their position is correct? The truth is that neither of their position is correct. As for the youth is still a child for subjugation.

According to the book of Gordon O. Martinborough entitled “I Love You”, give some Teen Tips for youths that have trouble’s attending to their parents:

Disagree Respectfully

It is alright to disagree but the sure to do so with respect. The fifth commandment has no age limit. It says “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land of the Lord your God is giving you”” (Exodus 20:12)

Learn and Listen

While we may differ with what is being said we should be courteous enough to listen, realizing that even in a pound of sense, we should also remember that since we are created with two ears but only one tongue, we are designed to listen.

Recognize Parents Love

With rare expectation, what a parent does is done with the motive of love. Before birth, we were born in love and after birth; we were nursed, cleansed and cared for in love. In fact, it is impossible to calculate the amount of parental love that has been lavished upon the child.

Benefit from Parent’s to Experience

It is guide likely that in some fields’ youth have move knowledge than their parents, but in the business of living, parent has more experience than youth wisdom learns from experience.

Some homes are arenas for perpetual strife between parent and youth day after day, and year after year, the battle of wills escalates as each vies for supremacy but it is the child duty to obey, and it is the parent’s responsibility to create a climate for obedience. Develop a loving and open relationship to parents./TE
